Today The Village Voice annonced the results of their pretigious Pazz & Jop
poll, which gathers opinions from 795 music critics about the best albums of 2005.

Unfortunately it's not a very METAL-HEAVY poll, but you will find the occasional headbanger within, and we wanted to call special attention to Opeth's Ghost Reveries landing at #79 - which is pretty impressive out of thousands of records.

Chimaira's eponymous third album and Roadrunner United's All-Star Sessions also made appearances at #1540 and #1640, respectively.
